Introducing Chris Atkins, Christner’s Dining Room Manager

Chris Atkins is a familiar face at Christner’s as he joined the team as a busser in 2011. Like many others, this was the beginning of a long-term commitment and passion to stay and grow the staff. Chris often recruited and recommended friends to join the restaurant as he transitioned into a bartender role. During these earlier years, he also met and worked with the youngest Christner daughter, Ellen, and a lovely relationship bloomed.

Chris and Ellen’s Journey to Marriage

With the support of the Christner family and team members, Chris and Ellen were married on April 1, 2020, at a small, private ceremony during the pandemic. This date means so much more to this couple as it is their dating, engagement, and now wedding anniversary.

Chris’s Promotion to Dining Room Manager at Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster

In 2023, Chris advanced his role once again at Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster as the dining room manager, leading the team in front-of-house operations, guest relations, and payroll under the tutelage of David Christner, one of the best-of-the-best independent restauranteurs.

Additionally, Chris is a member of the Bourbon Society of Central Florida with the simple goal of connecting bourbon and whisk(e)y lovers over our shared passion for America’s native spirit. On recent trips to Kentucky, Chris joined Alice Christner, Sommelier Dan Colgan, and Warren Tate for private barrel tastings at Willett Distillery and Four Roses Distillery to select the next custom bourbon offerings to be available at Christner’s in the months ahead.

When Chris is not in the restaurant you’ll find him cooking on his Big Green Egg, playing golf, and watching their daughter Avery tumble and turn in toddler gymnastics and bring joy to all.

We look forward to seeing Chris’s role continue to thrive as the next generation of the family leadership team at Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster.
